Are you also a writer and what genre or did you ever consider writing?
I would like to consider myself a writer, yes. Have I published anything that was an original? Unfortunate no. I am currently working on my 3rd novel, but I have been working on it for a year and am not even half of the way through with the first draft yet. I am actually an English major and hoping to work in publishing or editing. Other than that, I did write fanfiction and will probably be getting back into that soon. I miss writing and making graphics.

First let me say I love your connect buttons! I miss Mario! The game that is.
ReplyDeleteI actually am not a writer. Far from it. I just blog about books. Happy Friday!
Yay for us English majors! I want to work with publishing and editing as well (and be a published writer!) but I just can't seem to find anything lately!

Wow! You're working on your THIRD novel?! I've never been able to get through one! I have my associate's degree in English, but I was quickly turned off by the subject when I got to a big university. I still love reading and writing though! Good luck with your novel (and with school)! Old follower :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my F&F!
I'm not a English major, and I'm definitely not a writer. I am super impressed that you're working on your 3rd novel.

Here's my F&F
A lot of authors got started with fanfiction (like Cassandra Clare) so I think that writing it is an awesome way to get into writing :) Also great job on being on your third book that's so cool!

I didn't know Cassandra Clare started out writing fanfiction! That is so cool! Thank you for your kind words!

I'm currently studying English, hoping to get into publishing so I'm pretty much in the same position as you! I think the most important thing is probably to keep writing, no matter what. That's what I tell myself when I'm completely stuck with Writer's Block! I'm a new GFC follower. Thanks for sharing :) Have a great weekend!

Another lover of fantasy XD So awesome! I hope you do get around to finishing your novels, you definitely have an edge since you plan to work in publishing! Dont have experience in that, so we have to hire an editor XD We write SFF but may expand to contemporary YA!

ReplyDeleteNew Bloglovin follower!
Unfortunately I haven't published anything yet either.
ReplyDeleteI just finished my sixth book, which I am trying to get published now.
That's really cool that you're an English major that wants to get into the publishing industry!
I HATE writer's block! It is literally the worst!
Ooh urban fantasy! The genre has always sounded so cool to me, but I've never been 100% sure what it is exactly. Hopefully one day I'll read your book and be able to find out!
I would love to be published one day too! I hope one day both our dreams come true!!!
New follower!
I hope you'll check out my post (even though it's a bit late)! :)
