Last Ten Books That Gave Me A Book Hangover
Meme Hosted By: The Artsy Reader Girl
1. The inability to start a new book because you are still living in the old book’s world
2. The inability to function at work/school because you were up all night binge-reading

1. Technically, You Started It by Lana Wood Johnson - This is actually my latest read and the review is coming up this Thursday. But I stayed up all night to finish this book. It is a quick read, written in text messages, but I had to finish it!
2. Loveboat, Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen - It was hard picking up another book after this one. I loved this book and wanted to say with the characters long after it was over.
3. The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas - I didn't pick up another book after this one for awhile. I still think about this book from time to time.

7. Skyward by Brandon Sanderson - This is probably the biggest hangover I have had in the past year. I tried picking up several books after this and put them down. This world is a world I still live in and actively think about. My anexity won't let me finish the second book, though. I got maybe 25 percent of the way in before putting it down. Eventually, though.
8. The Unhoneymooners - This book... I loved it so much. And I wanted the books after it to be it for the first time again and it upset me when that didn't happen.

4. Moonshot by Alessandra Torre - Was unable to read anything else after this one. I read it during work one day and stayed in that world for awhile.
5. A World Without You by Beth Revis - This one was more of me trying to figure out the ending. It leaves a big question hanging in the air and I spent way too much time thinking about it before moving on.
6. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover - So this is more of my first "book hangover" that I can remember. It was in 2016 and this book threw me through a loop. Stayed up all night reading it and did not regret it.

9. The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout - I am actually surprised at the lack of JLA on this list. I think this is the last JLA book I read and it was in 2018!

10. Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas - So I just hated her latest book, but this one was my favorite. It was such a great story and I still think about it. As a matter of fact, I think I might re-read this one soon.
I feel like any JLA novel leaves me with a hangover! I mentioned at least three in my post! Lol!

ReplyDeleteMy TTT .
THE UNHONEYMOONERS is on my list today, too, but for a different reason since I couldn't think of anything for this week's topic :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Ugly Love gave me a book hangover both times I read it.
